Later light by the clock
Advocates value light after school and work for time outdoors and everyday errands. That’s a preference about when daylight fits our schedules.
Understand permanent DST →One last spring forward. Never fall back.
Permanent daylight time leaves the light on after work and school. This changes the clock, not the amount of sunlight. Winter sunrise moves later too, and that morning belongs in the ask. We are not asking for money. We want the clock change to end.
Same sunlight. Different clock.
DST shifts daylight on the clock. It does not create sunlight. Later winter sunsets also mean later winter sunrises.

The idea, without the spin
This is the setting we want: one spring forward, then daylight time all year. The case is the evening. The cost is the winter morning. Both stay on the page.

Understand permanent DST →The same hour moves sunrise later. School commutes, early shifts and morning light matter. Sleep experts offer a strong case for standard time.

This campaign supports permanent DST. Our factual explainers include official sources, uncertainty and opposing evidence. We don’t endorse parties or candidates.
Read our sources and methodology →Permanent standard time also ends seasonal changes. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine favors it because of the role morning light plays in circadian timing.
